Judge: no bail for Lauderdale capital murder suspect
FLORENCE – A woman charged with capital murder in the 2019 shooting death of her ex-husband had bail denied and the case has been bound over to a Lauderdale County grand jury.
Peggy Sue Hall, 55, is charged with killing Randall Bobo, who was shot in the head and chest at his residence of Lauderdale 130 on Sept. 18.
Lauderdale County District Judge Carole Medley denied a request from Hall for bail during a Wednesday hearing and bound it over to a grand jury.
During testimony in the hearing, Lt. Brad Potts, with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, said Bobo’s wife told authorities Hall entered their home unannounced on the morning of Sept. 18, went into the living room where Bobo was, and shot him. She then turned the gun on the wife, who fled to a relative’s home nearby and called 911.
Potts said the wife told him it occurred in the presence of a 5-year-old child, and an 11-year-old was in another room.
