Man robbed at gunpoint after vehicle forced to stop
FLORENCE – A man was robbed at gunpoint this weekend by two men who forced his vehicle to stop and made him get out, police said.
Florence police said the call came in about a robbery in the 1100 block of Waterloo Road at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday.
The 19-year-old victim said he was driving on Waterloo Road when a vehicle occupied by the men pulled in front of him and forced him to stop.
“Two men from the other vehicle approached him and ordered him out of his vehicle at gunpoint,” said Justin Hill, social media officer for the Florence Police Department. “The two offenders took valuables from the victim before fleeing the area. The victim was not injured. This continues to be an active investigation, and anyone having any information regarding this event is asked to contact the Florence Police Department or Shoals Area Crime Stoppers.”
