Masks mandatory at some city buildings
FLORENCE – Masks are mandatory inside public spaces within city-owned buildings.
The City Council has unanimously approved making them mandatory for locations such as lobbies of City Hall and the Police Department.
Some locations where events are held, such as the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library and Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum, are exempt, Mayor Steve Holt said.
The council action is a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and continued rise in cases locally and statewide.
