Shoals, state COVID cases continue to rise

The Shoals has had 11,584 and 130 deaths from COVID-19, including more than 1,700 cases in the last two weeks, according to the latest figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
In Colbert County, there have been 4,818 cases, including 625 in the last two weeks, and 60 deaths.
In Lauderdale County, there have been 6,766 cases, including 1,080 in the last two weeks, and 70 deaths.
Nearby, Franklin County has had 3,355 cases, including 315 in the last two weeks, and 38 deaths.
Statewide, there have been 379,593 cases and 4,886 deaths.
There have been 50,692 cases in the last 14 days. Thus far, the state has administered 1,910,881 diagnostic and 89,088 antibody tests.
