State nears 500,000 COVID number
Alabama is approaching a half-million mark in COVID-19 cases, according to the latest figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
The state has had 481,605 cases, including 21,963 in the last two weeks, and 9,244 deaths, according to the department.
Locally, Colbert County has had 5,931 cases, including 202 in the last 14 days, and 115 deaths.
Lauderdale County has had 8,476 cases, including 285 in the last 14 days, and 201 deaths.
Franklin County has had 3,947 cases, including 107 in the last 14 days, and 75 deaths.
