UNA announces ticket assurance plan for football season amid pandemic
FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama is offering flexible payment options and a ticket assurance plan in the event any home football game is not played during the 2020 season.
The plan and options are being made if the COVID-19 pandemic forces any cancellations, UNA officials said.
“As a University and an athletic department, we have been and will always be committed to the well-being of our fans,” UNA Athletic Director Mark Linder said. “This program will allow us, as a department, to prepare for the upcoming football season, while giving our fan base confidence that they can recover their hard earned dollars should we have to cancel any games. As we weather the COVID-19 pandemic, this program brings some certainty to our fan base in knowing that purchasing their season tickets is a low-risk proposition.”
A university statement outlines its plan:
- Introduced the North Alabama Ticket Assurance Plan: Ticket holders who purchased tickets directly through the UNA ticket office will have the option to either receive a refund for the canceled game(s), or have a credit towards a future ticket purchase, if for any reason any portion of the 2020 football schedule does not take place. This guarantee applies to all ticketed UNA Athletics home events.
- Introduced a new $20 Down Payment Plan. Fans will be able to renew their 2020 North Alabama football season tickets by putting down just $20. The option for weekly payments will be available, or the remaining balance will be split between two equal payments on July 15th and August 15th.
- Extended the Renewal Deadline until July 1st. The previous deadline renewal date was June 15th. UNA has extended the renewal deadline for North Alabama football season tickets to July 1st. The exchange and additional ticket process will be postponed until after the new renewal date.
Fans can renew or put a deposit down on 2020 football season tickets here or by calling the ticket office, 256-765-5466. Season tickets go on sale to the general public on July 6th.
